Ants are one of the most abundant and important animals on the planet, and they do everything! Biology Professor, Sean Menke will introduce us to the beauty and diversity of these amazing creatures and the essential roles they play in our world, including their use as tools to improve human society. Sean will also discuss some of the ants commonly found in the Chicagoland area and what we know about the important part they play in these environments as well as how they can be used as bioindicators of successful habitat restoration projects.
